It's the first official day of summer, and it finally, finally feels a bit like summer in Chicago.
I write this from our balcony. It's humid, and buggy, and grey. BUT I'm in a sundress and it really feels like summer. Finally.
And last night, to properly ring in summer, Joe and I had date night at the Ravina. It is an outdoor amphitheater with lawn seating, perfect for welcoming summer. We were gifted tickets to hear the BoDeans play, and we picnicked and cuddled and listened to some great music as the first of many great summer nights slipped away.
Ahh, summer. You've taken your sweet time arriving this year, but I'm glad you're here!
